MAke Your Computer "Healthier"

Prevent is better than cure, as the proverb says.
I try to apply it to the computer.

Computer could becomes slow or become a nest for viruses,

one of the reasons is our wrong habits that make our computer risky to be infected.

Here are some tips that we can apply to make our computers become healtier (means less risk from viruses infection) :

10. Do not be too often use peer networks
Although the network Peer-to-peer (P2P) is an easy and quick to exchange files with users around the world, but P2P networks  also become a fast way to spread the virus around the world. So if we use P2P networks, better to make sure their security first.

Don't know about peer to peer network?

9. Reinstall
When we fail to install the software completely, so do not be enforced.

Take a break for a moment and re-read the installation instructions .
Then delete the installation files that are already in the system and then reinstall again.

8. Beware of hard disk management
Hard disk that full-filled will affect in overall system performance.

Idealy, we better to "blank" one third of the total space of hard disk capacity that we have.
Start thinking to replace a new hard disk with a more capacity or buy an external hard disk.

7. Restart the computer
Maybe it sounds stupid, but by restarting the computer can solve the problem.

The longer a system runs the more information that remains in memory,
that makes the system become slow and even in many cases can lead to crashes.

6. Routinely Mendefragmen
Defraging your hard disk is an important job.

It can provide more space on the disk but also increase the period of his life.
So start routinely defraging your hard disk so that the performance of our computer remain good.

5. Avoid alpha and beta versions
The truth is Version Alpha, Beta and Release Candidate are made for developers to test how the software stability, security, etc.

For users, it's better not to use alpha and beta versions to avoid of the problem.

4. Empty your battery
One way to increase the battery life is:

use your battery untill empty
pull the battery out, and  let the battery take a rest maybe few hours or a full day
plug it in again and recharge it again untill full.
it will extend your battery's life.

3. Security applications
Using unsafe applications will drive us to problems.

The Weaknesses in a single applications are the target of attack for our computer,
To avoid this, we immediately patch the application on our computer with the latest updates provided directly from the official website.

2. Patch
The software maker issued a patch routine for the application to make the user out of trouble.

Patch will fix all problems : system performance problems, stability, and  security.
So don't forget to patch your applications and operating systems  regularly.

1. Security software
Surf the web without security software such as exploring the snow without a coat.

Security program is important ,so it should be installed after you install the operating system. Security software can include antivirus, firewall, antispyware, etc.. And make sure the security software also comes from a reliable company.
